Sudanese Embassy in London Bids Farewell to British “Rahman Doctors” Medical Convoy Bound for Sudan

LONDON, April 1, 2026 (SUNA) – The Embassy of the Republic of Sudan in London today bid farewell to a medical convoy from the British organization “Rahman Doctors” (Doctors of the Merciful) as it departs for Sudan, as part of ongoing efforts to support and strengthen the country’s health sector.

The convoy is scheduled to implement a comprehensive health program from April 2 to 18, 2026, in the Northern State, in coordination with the Sudanese Ministry of Health and relevant authorities. The mission will provide advanced medical services, including complex surgical procedures, and organize therapeutic camps to serve local citizens and displaced persons in the Al-Affad area.

The team consists of 17 doctors and specialists across various medical fields. The convoy is also transporting significant quantities of essential medicines and medical equipment to bolster healthcare delivery and improve treatment services.

The Embassy praised the vital role played by the Ministry of Health and competent authorities in Sudan in facilitating the procedures for international organizations. It also highlighted the fruitful and continuous cooperation with “Rahman Doctors,” noting that the organization previously dispatched a medical convoy to Sudan last November and contributed a container of therapeutic food, providing tangible support to the nation’s health sector.
