Sudanese Prime Minister Arrives In London

London, May 12, 2026 (SUNA) – The Sudanese Prime Minister, Dr. Kamil Idris, Arrived Today In The British Capital, London, At The Head Of A High-Level Official Delegation, Which Included The Minister Of Culture, Information, Antiquities And Tourism Mr. Khalid Al-Aysar, The Special Representative Of The Prime Minister Dr. Hussein Al-Siddiq Al-Hafyan, And The Deputy Director General Of The General Intelligence Service Lieutenant General Abbas Mohamed Bakhit, Alongside The Advisor And Director Of The Prime Minister’s Office Mr. Nizar Abdullah Mohamed.

Reception At Heathrow International Airport

The Prime Minister And His Accompanying Delegation Were Received At Heathrow International Airport By The Staff Of The Sudan Embassy In The United Kingdom, Led By The Head Of Mission Ambassador Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, And Members Of The Diplomatic Mission.

Objectives Of The Visit

The Visit Comes In Response To An Invitation From Two Of The Most Prestigious International Universities, Namely Oxford And Cambridge Universities, To Present Two Separate Lectures To Display The Sudan Peace Initiative Before An Elite Group Of British And European Academics, University Professors, And Media Personnel, And To Mobilize International Support For The Sudanese Government’s Efforts Aimed At Consolidating The Values Of Peace And Stability.

Meeting With The Sudanese Community

It Is Scheduled That Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris Will Take The Opportunity Of His Presence In Britain To Meet Members Of The Sudanese Community In The United Kingdom, Who Have Remained Supportive Of Their Homeland And People During The War Of Dignity, Where He Will Express To Them His Appreciation For Their Notable National Stances, And For Their Great Role In Supporting The Sudanese Armed Forces And Enhancing National Cohesion Among The Children Of Sudan In The Diaspora.
